“During my surveillance, I noticed this guy cleaning a Desert Eagle in .41 caliber. My completist instincts were aroused. The original Desert Eagle. made by the Israeli Military Industries boys, was configured in .357, and I picked up the barrel, springs and clip conversion kit for changing the gun over to .44 caliber. I liked the big-bore stopping power, but I really wanted the capability to change over to all three calibers.

Okay, when you knock on one of these guys’ doors, you’d better be prepared to make your own door. It doesn’t hurt to set up a distraction or two, either. To get in quickly, or do a crisis entry, I follow standard guidelines plus a little extra input of my own. Take a 1/4″ steel plate, tape down some detonation cord, use about, oh, 3-4 pounds of C-4 plastic explosive, and set it up to command det electrically.”
