Eliot R. Brown, The Unofficial Archivist of the Marvel Bullpen Tells His Tales.

While working his way around the Marvel Comics offices from the 70s to the 90s Eliot R. Brown took hundreds of pictures. Behind each picture is a story and now he’s bringing these stories to the public with his blog at eliotrbrown.com.

Among these stories are behind the scenes looks at iconic moments, dedications to late friends, and celebrations of lesser known careers.

For Marvel Comic’s ground-breaking and encyclopedic Official Handbook to the Marvel Universe, Eliot R. Brown was tasked with illustrating and explaining Spider-Man’s web shooter, Wonder-Man’s flying belt, Stiltman’s legs, the Fantastic Four’s Baxter Building, Hawkeye’s arrows, and others. He developed the use of technical illustration and writing for comic books.

He went on to create a large body of work including The Iron Manual, The Punisher Armory and the Gotham City Map.
