Colt .45:

“These two he brought in are real beauties: my oldest .45’s are looking a bit green with envy. At top is a 10mm Colt Government Model that was out of Maryland. It is now so different from what I’m accustomed to, it is a new experience. The 10mm cartridge is very close to a .45 so that should be familiar — but the gun makes up for much of that. There is hardly any felt recoil, due to some sort of beefier recoil spring. Actually, there are so many subtle modifications, I don’t know where to begin … suffice it to say, this gun shoots like a dream.”
