Captain America’s Shield
“Captain America’s shield is a concave disk, approximately 30″ in diameter by about 3″ thick overall and weights 12 lbs, 2.3 oz. (without straps and their metal attachment devices). Dr. Myron MacLain, an American research scientist and metallurgist working under a U.S. government contract during World War II to formulate a superior tank armor, employed a unique formula of Vibranium and Adamantium to make the disk. The alloy has never been duplicated as it deifies even exotic means of analysis.”
