I've handled helicopters, twin-engine jets, 18-wheelers. skidoos but nothing is as hard to drive as one of these remote control gadgets. Chippie says to pretend you’re painting a watch face with a ten-foot brush. Thanks. Chip says this is the height of his fabrication arts, he cursed a blue streak teaming to lay-up fiberglass, coaxed two interleaved TV signals plus command signals and telemetry all on one signal, and claims he is happiest that it works at all.
Well, ok, the image is black and white and it flickers pretty badly, but the thing is silent, it can stay aloft for 2 hours, has some fancy movie camera lenses hooked up to these nifty Hitachi CCD cameras, it can't see in the dark, but sometimes I can't see it and I get a good enough image.
