When it comes to magazine- after-magazine worth of dependability. Ruger comes lo mind. This here Mini-14 just fired 1.800 rounds of ammo without a single feed failure. I'm impressed.
It's tricked out with the very practical Ram-Line solid polymer folding stock. Weather-proof and tough as metal, and I've belted a few chops with it to prove it. too.
In .30 caliber. using 30 round magazines and with the front bi-pod, this almost qualifies for an assault weapon: no, it does qualify as one. With the stock retracted. its like a big pistol. and its just-weighty enough to absorb recoil to the point where it fires like a little pistol.
