Amelli Squad Automatic - The Punisher Armory No. 2, June, 1991, Page 1
From the Punisher Armory No. 2 Page 1:
The old adage 'nothing succeeds like success' has a big contradiction in the Amelli Squad Automatic Weapon. The Madrid outfit CETME, has taken one of the finest machine gun mechanisms ever designed, the German Army MG42, making it portable as an urban weapon.
The old WWII MG42 was a real buzzsaw firing 8mm Mauser cartridges; a big, heavy hard-hitter. This new incarnation is chambered in the 5.56 mm, or .223 caliber, NATO assault cartidge and is comprised of light-weight metal-stampings and plastics and weighs about 16 pounds with the 100 round box magazine. Here, I've got the neat 200 round box add another 3 and a half pounds.
