The lighting is computer governed and can follow one or any number of people around, from night-light to petit point intensity. Naturally the air-conditioning system really conditions the air as opposed to pumping in very cold air or very hot until some muddy, indeterminate mix is reached. Ant it's silent, too, not from the sound controol system, either. It's engineered properly. The floor is warm, in case I toddle around in my bare feet at midnight, but I took the designer's suggestion of a rug because I like them.
